Letter from M Rodd, in Ontario Canada

Dear Porter:

Just a note to thank you for your kindness last Monday.

You interupted your personal time and lunch at Crackerbarrel to meet my wife and our friends, who were visiting Nashville from Canada.

I am a police officer in Canada and consider "classic ountry music" an escape to my younger years and simpler times. I grew up with "Green Green Grass Of Home", "Carroll Country Accident" and your many duets.

My wife and I have visited Nashville and the Opry, now over 20 times. We have enjoyed your singing and personality at the Opry; you truly make the show. You represent the traditional country sound and demonstrate a sincere interest in your fans and the music. Clearly, it is more than a job to you.

I would like to say that your music has touched so many lives, young and old and you just keep sounding great. Your segment of the Opry is the highlight.

Thank you again for taking time with us. Thank you for the music and laughs.

M Rodd
